Starting December 13, 2007, Southwestern Ohio Special Education Regional Resource
Center (State Support Team 13), in collaboration with regional trainers, will offer interactive,
hands-on, sessions related to Special Education System topics. Family members may attend
any or all sessions. A $20 gift card, to help defray expenses, will be provided to parents and
family members at each session (one gift card per family).
Sessions will be held at SERRC, from 6:00 – 8:30 PM, the 2nd Thursday each month,
December through May. The sessions will cover basic information about topics related to the
needs of learners with disabilities, including an intervention/prevention model for learners who
are not successful in school, academically or behaviorally.
Those who attend all six sessions, in the Series, will receive a certificate and will be invited to
attend a more advanced training at a Spring Leadership Institute the end of May, 2008.
